ABRASIVES

This past Friday I was lucky enough to catch Chad Smith and Donny down at Zieglers Welding for a quick schooling on abrasives highly prized and most used by fabricators and welders. Although the temperature was a chilly 27 degrees outside, the shop was jumping and warmed by the multitude of jobs being performed by this century old company.

We reviewed the array of abrasives and tools they most commonly used and preferred in doing the multitude of jobs they perform. The brands most respected were Flexovit and Norton for abrasives, and the air tool brand was Sioux. The beauty of these tools is that they are repairable and have parts available to refit the workings so they have a long life.
